The Punjabi Theatre Academy, UK drama academy, where you can come and explore the wonderful world of theatre a fun, make a friends and caring your future in the media industry. For a while, forget themselves and the outside world and explore new characters and lifestyles in an atmosphere that is fun and free from competition.

Who we are:

The Punjabi Theatre Academy, UK is a non-political, non-sectarian organisation, which have been serving the UK South Asian community for more then a decade. Mr. T P Singh, Artistic Director is very well known in the British Asian theatre media as well as in the Bollywood industry as a writer director. He wrote many plays such as: "Bebe Vilyet Wich", "Jillanwala Bagh", "Puwars Bottle Da", Mother in Law in London, Eclipse of the Sun, Martyr Udham Singh, Massacre of Amritsar 1919, Beat the Bottle, Lion of Punjab, Guru Manyo Granth, Voice to Voice and My Childhood just few of them. "Bhagat Singh" and "Lion of Punjab." , Guru Manyo Granth and London 2 Amritsar Punjabi film. He has been given a prestigious award in the House of common in Great Britain for promoting Punjabi Culture in the year 2007.

Our Aims:

  • To open access who are keen to learn cultural-respect from different backgrounds society.
  • A broad understanding of culture to promote greater commitment to integrate culture with development on international platform.
  • To create opportunities for developing media skills through Musical & dance theatre as well as Boolywood film connections provide help and advice to people interested in preserving traditional folk arts.
  • To research research, devise and tour community theatre and 'theatre in education' which accurately reflects the experiences and concerns of people of all ages and backgrounds who live and work in the West London.

Obeject:

The PTA objective is to introduce performing arts as a fun and enjoyable experience, whilst maintaining its traditional discipline. We want our students to build self confidence and a sense of achievement.

Film making resources

Our Acting for Film School and Film School programs work hand-in-hand to provide all of our acting and film students resources such as film equipment, live film shoots, and a network of filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, and editors that will be invaluable upon graduation and entry into the profession.
